Leiberman Kanye-like

Weekly Slant Column in Las Vegas CityLife (11/3/09 #72)

Joe Lieberman pulled a “Kanye West” on Harry Reid after Reid announced the senate’s health care reform bill. Lieberman went on about how he would caucus with the republicans… big shocker.

Hot Rod Coppers

Weekly Slant Column in Las Vegas CityLife (10/27/09 #71)

There was an incident in Vegas with a policeman... he was cruising down a street at night, going about 70 or so, without his lights on, although his headlamps were lighted... and it's generally regarded as reckless behavior. The story continues, as the cop screamed through the intersection, an oncoming driver attempted a left turn. Needless to say there was a collision. So I got to pay tribute to Ed Roth with two cops in a drag race.

Malpracticing Hepatitis

Weekly Slant Column in Las Vegas CityLife (10/20/09 #70)

There's a medical case going on in Las Vegas in which people got infected with Hepatitis because of really shoddy medical practices. So it's in front of the courts right now and the lawyers came out and are shifting blame to manufacturers of needles or something like that. They wanted to satirize the lawyers by having them cross-examining a hepatitis virus itself, as if they are holding the disease responsible for the malpractice because it exists.

2nd dumbest city in the country

Weekly Slant Column in Las Vegas CityLife (10/13/09 #69)

Another study came out, it said Las Vegas was the second dumbest city in the country. So, they wanted to assemble a Las Vegas style version of the A-team. Assembling the best and brightest of what Las Vegas has to offer.

Tasers are in the air

Weekly Slant Column in Las Vegas CityLife (10/6/09 #68)

This one revolves around some happenings out in California, where the police tasered a man with no legs and removed him from his wheelchair and placed him handcuffed on the ground.
